President Trump’s Proposed Executive Order entitled "Protecting The Nation From Terrorist Attacks By Foreign Nationals"

Non-U.S. citizens from Syria, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Yemen, Iraq and Sudan should discuss travel plans with an immigration attorney before leaving the U.S.

The draft order calls for an immediate 30-day halt to all immigrant and nonimmigrant entry of travelers from Syria, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Yemen, Iraq and Sudan. This halt would likely apply to all non-immigrants and lawful permanent residents from these seven countries.

We do not know whether the President has made any modifications to the order since the draft order was leaked, and we do not know when exactly the order will be issued. We will provide further guidance as the situation develops.

We also do not know if countries will be added or removed from the order. During this period of uncertainly, we advise anyone with concerns to consult an immigration attorney before making travel plans.
