Alexis is an attorney in the litigation section at Woods Fuller. Originally from Onida, SD, Alexis joined the firm in 2017. Prior to joining Woods Fuller, Alexis served as a law clerk for the Honorable Lawrence L. Piersol of the United States District Court for the District of South Dakota.
Alexis is a 2016 Sterling Honors graduate from the University of South Dakota School of Law, where she served as an editor on the South Dakota Law Review. While on Law Review, Alexis’ article, The Cohabitation Aggravation: Third Party Consent and the Fourth Amendment Following Fernandez v. California, 60 S.D. L. Rev. 93, was selected for publication. Alexis was also a research assistant to Professor Frank Pommersheim and competed in national trial team competitions.
Prior to law school, Alexis played college basketball for Iowa State University and the University of South Dakota. Outside of work, Alexis enjoys playing basketball, running, reading, traveling, and spending time with her husband, Cliff.
